Acceptable Use Policy
Last Updated: January 27, 2026This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines the acceptable use of Community Fiber's network. All subscribers must comply with this policy to ensure the security and reliability of the network for all users.
1. Illegal Activity
The Service may not be used for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to:
- Transmitting child pornography or other illegal content.
- Copyright infringement (piracy).
- Fraudulent schemes or phishing.
2. Network Security
Users may not attempt to violate the security of the Community Fiber network or any other network. Prohibited activities include:
- Hacking, port scanning, or unauthorized access to other systems.
- Distributing viruses, malware, or worms.
- Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.
3. Spam and Abuse
The Service may not be used to send unsolicited bulk email (spam). Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior towards other users or Community Fiber staff is strictly prohibited.
4. Excessive Use
While we do not have data caps, we reserve the right to manage the network to ensure fair access for all customers. Using the residential service for high-volume commercial server hosting that degrades the network for neighbors is prohibited.
5. Violations
Community Fiber reserves the right to suspend or terminate service for violations of this AUP.
